The wind whips across the battlefield, rustling trees, sweeping through the grass and carrying the distinctive red maple leaves of a Japanese autumn on its gusts.

Up ahead, a white castle gleams from the top of a steep hill, torches flickering distantly under the sloping eaves of its distinctive roof, a pale sentinel watching over the valley our objective.

Medieval Total War was great in its day, but it's impossible to play it on anything other than Windows XP or Windows 98. Steer away from Rome 2, it's absolutely rubbish and those who made it should be fired or at least get paycuts. But Legionnaires and Phalanses did not crash and mikusu, they fought in formation. People said it's because Rome 2 used the same engine as Napoleon's cannon collision physics. Nobody's fighting in formation in Rome 2. In Rome 2, instead of one sponge smashing against each other, you get coke mixed with pepsi. You tell your soldiers to march in formation or charge in formation, and Rome 2 fucks it up. In Rome, you get great units with proper formation and discipline. Compare Rome Total War and Rome 2 Total War, Rome Total War wins in every aspect, ekusucept for maybe graphics, but last time Ai-chan played it, Ai-chan preferred Rome Total War's graphics. Rome 2 Total War is absolutely horrendous. Not really great, but the latest updates make it playable. Ai-chan actually prefers Nobunaga's Ambition instead of Shogun 2 to be honest. So you have to make sure that you don't keep allies or vassals behind the front line or you'll be eaten by your own allies. Instead of the realm dividing though, everyone declares war on you, even your allies and vassals declare war on you. The moment you have more than half of the provinces, Realm Divide occurs. Compatibility settings doesn't work either.
